4. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for basic site functionality and user authentication
  • Analytics cookies: To understand how you use our Service and improve performance
  • Preference cookies: To remember your settings and preferences

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the Service. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay on them, and the site that referred you. Google processes this information as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We use Google Ads, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, to advertise the Service. When you create an account or buy a subscription, we tell Google Ads about it (an account or checkout reference, and for a purchase its amount) so we can measure which of our ads lead to sign-ups and purchases. To match it to an ad you clicked, possibly on another device, we also send your email address (for a purchase, the one you used at checkout); your browser turns it into a one-way hash before it is sent, so Google does not receive the address itself. Google Ads uses a cookie to remember an ad click, and processes this information as described in the Google page linked above.

We also use PostHog, a product analytics service provided by PostHog, Inc., to understand how the Service is used and to find problems. PostHog records the pages you view, the features you use and the site that referred you, and it records session replays: a reconstruction of your clicks, scrolls and page changes, with anything you type into form fields hidden. When you are signed in, this activity is linked to your account. PostHog uses a cookie to recognize your browser between visits and stores the data in the European Union. We do not keep your IP address there, only the country it indicates.

You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling essential cookies may affect Service functionality.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy on our website. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.

By using Simula, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
